Each lot in Cave Hill Cemetery receives General Care, which entails regular turf maintenance, i.e. mowing and trimming every 10 days. Families wishing to have Special Services on their lot can arrange for Preservation Care, where an interest-accruing fund is established to cover the cost associated with the maintenance. The interest generated each year is generally enough to provide for the care charges. However, this investment is in no way guaranteed to be a permanent, one-time fee, and an addition to the fund may be required in advance years.
Using this arrangement, families can request a variety of services, such as:
- Ivy
- Shrubs
- Trees
- Monument Cleaning
- Flower Beds
- Christmas Wreath Placement
- Easter Lily Placement
If families wish to pay for additional lot renovation services, such as spraying for weeds and re-seeding, they may do so at an additional per square foot fee. The administration office will provide a quote for the requested service.
