Grinstead Lodge Columbarium

Cave Hill Cemetery is pleased to offer the community, an alternative to ground burial. Cave Hill's Columbarium for the dignified memorialization of cremated remains. The Columbarium is located in our newly remodeled Lodge located just inside our Grinstead Drive entrance gate. This entrance was also widened to assure safe entrance into our grounds and exit onto Grinstead Drive.

The Lodge was built in 1916 of the most substantial limestone available and the interior was finished with handcrafted oak moldings and paneling. The interior and exterior materials remain intact to preserve antiquity. The woodwork was refinished to bring out its natural beauty. The windows were replaced with elegant and appropriate stained glass to enhance the beauty of the niches and to give each room an amber glow and sense of reverence.

We constructed and installed 750 niches of various sizes made of the finest bronze available and enclosed each niche with beveled glass and perlato slilca marble to complement the tile floor.

The niches are available in many sizes from single to family size units. We also have a beautiful display of urns available for your selection for at-need, as well as, pre-need use.

Please stop by or call 451-5630 Monday through Saturday for a personal tour.
