Cave Hill Tour/Slide Show Guidelines

1. Tours for school groups are available free of charge. Tours for Civic, Church, and Club groups require a $10.00 per person donation to Cave Hill’s Heritage Foundation. Minimum 10 people. Tours will be scheduled between 10:00am and 12:00 noon and from 1:30pm to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. Tours will last approximately 1 1/2 hours or less.

2. Cave Hill Cemetery provides a slide show presentation to Church, Club and Civic organizations. The show details some of Cave Hill’s historic past, famous people, Flora and Fauna and, monuments. The Show may be scheduled Monday through Friday at your location. (The show is not presented at Cave Hill due to lack of space). The show is approximately one hour.

3. Guided walking tours are available for individuals on specific weekends. See our guided tour schedule or call (502) 451-5630 for information.

4. Tour Groups must furnish their own transportation or be able to easily walk short distances. Busses must stay on the solid white line and are not allowed to travel the grounds without a guide. Busses should park on the road between the office and the lake and not on the main road.

5. Picnicking for school field trips is allowed only in specific areas around the lake.

6. Leaf collecting is allowed with permits.

7. Tours may be cancelled for inclement weather conditions.
